Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global, as well as the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is the TV host, journalist as well as a television philanthropist, author and TV philanthro for more than ten years. She also is the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an free-of-cost online newsmagazine. Born in Greece she came to England when she was just 16 and then graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. She was the first person of non-UK origin to become the president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. In the years following the graduation ceremony, she was an influential conservative journalist who was syndicated. Then, a couple of years later she created The Huffington Post which featured critiques of the current political landscape. Her popularity brought in a variety of famous contributors who shared their opinions about politics, news and culture. Arianna was famous after she was elected independently in a recall vote in California for the seat of then-Governor Davis. Aside from that she also led the Detroit Project for efficient vehicles that use less fuel. In 2009 she was recognized by Forbes as one of the top women in media gaining 12th position on their listing and the following year, Guardian listed her on the top 100 of the media lists. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she was named president of this group of media. It included a variety of AOL products at the time such as Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. The parents of her were Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, a management consultant and journalist. Though she shared a kinship friendship with both her father and mother the bond between them which shaped her. Through her early period, she displayed the qualities of a leader for which she remains well-known. When she was 16 she started her studies with her native United Kingdom at Girton College Cambridge. In the years of her university she joined Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she was elected the first female president and sole foreign president. In 1972, she earned a Masters in Economics. In the years following the graduation ceremony, she became columnist and TV presenter. In addition, she appeared alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started making books with the editorial services of Bernard Levin.
