Anna Paquin is a Canadian as well as a New Zealand actress. Paquin, born in Winnipeg and raised by Wellington Paquin's mother, made her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath. For this role, she won the Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress for the romantic drama The Piano at the young age of 11. She was the second youngest winner in Oscar History. As an infant, she won her the Academy Award for best support actress. Her role as the empathetic and curious young girl Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) was the reason she won the honor.
