Anna Silk was the first child born to Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a writer, actor director, producer, and teacher of St. Thomas University). Her father is from Britain, while her mother is the "Turkish ex-pat from Cyprus who is now living in England." Anna's earliest memories include attending play rehearsals and observing her mother at working. When she was a child, she was featured in commercials of various kinds. In the month of November, 1999 Anna moved to Toronto for the purpose of advancing her acting career. She ended up moving into Los Angeles, California, during the decade that followed. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting training workshop held in 2007. The couple got engaged in the year 2009. Anna has since converted to Judaism in the year before, and Seth Cooperman were wed in the month of December in Fredericton.
